About

Frank C. Modica is a cancer survivor and a retired special education teacher living in Urbana, Illinois, with his wife Pam. Frank has published two poetry chapbooks; "What We Harvest" and "Old Friends." His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Sheila-Na-Gig, Euphemism, Five Minutes, New Square, and Dust Poetry Magazine. Frank's writing is animated by interests in history, geography, religion, literature, and sociology.


Frank likes bike riding, roasted Brussel Sprouts, dark beer, and trying out new recipes with his wife and friends. Since retiring from teaching he volunteers with a number of arts and social service organizations in his community.
